Parish message of the week,

1. Parishioners may return their last year’s blessed palms to information counter at Ground floor latest by next Sunday, Feb 19. The collected palms would be burnt to ashes for use on this year’s Ash Wednesday.
2. Lent begins on Feb 22 with Ash Wednesday. Blessed ashes will be distributed in the following morning masses on the day: 6:40am in Christ the King Chapel, and 7am and 7:45am masses here at St Margaret’s
3. English mass for Ash Wednesday will be held at our Parish Hall at 7:30pm on Feb 22. Blessed ashes will also be distributed.
4. We wish to remind everyone of your obligations for Fast & Abstinence during Lent. All Catholics between the age of 18 and 60 are obliged to both fast and abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday; and abstain from taking meat on all other Fridays during Lent. For children who have reached 14 years old but below 18 are required to abstain from meat on all these dates.
