3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER (1 May 2022)

Parish message of the week,

  1. Our 2022 RCIA Class will not have a class for the next two weeks because of civil holidays. The class will receive Baptism and Confirmation on 22 May 2022 during the Sunday Mass.
  2. For the same reasons as we had some months ago, collections will only be taken up at the doors of the church as you leave. Other special collections would take place outside after Mass. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
  3. We will continue to post Masses in live-feed for those who are unable to come to church (5:30 p.m. Saturday in Cantonese; 12:30 p.m. Sunday in English). For those unvaccinated, there will be the opportunity to receive communion from 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sundays in the parish hall, starting today.
  4. At the Mass on 22 May 2022, aside from the scheduled baptisms and confirmations for adults, we will also celebrate Father McCabe’s 45th anniversary of ordination. Observing rules of social distancing, we will have a brief reception after the Mass in the parish hall for him.
  5. In conformity with both the government regulations and recommendations from the diocese, we are limited to 50% capacity in the churches. All faithful who enter must have both the LeaveHomeSafe app and the Vaccination QR code or Exemption Certificate to enter. Facemasks must be worn in church. Immediately after Mass we ask that all leave the building. Those whose vaccination record or Exemption Certificate is not presented must fill out a declaration with personal contact information.
  6. We invite all parishioners to continue to check with the parish website [https://smc.catholic.org.hk/en/main/] for any updates on the parish Mass schedule.
