Parish message of the week,

1. Our parish will sponsor its 3^rd quarterly social get-together after the Mass on Sunday, September 23^rd, in the parish hall immediately after the regular Sunday Mass. This party will be sponsored by our parish Lectors. As in the past, there will be foods catered for a light snack, and we will be seeking some volunteers to help with both serving and the quick clean-up. You are welcome to bring desserts or fruit salads for the party as well as any adult beverages. Water and soft drinks will also be available.
2. We remind everyone of the announcement last week from Bishop Yeung, designating every Friday in September as a day of fasting and prayer for forgiveness and for a deeper commitment to chastity and morality in the Church.
3. Tickets for our Annual Parish Feast Day dinner will go on sale on September 16^th and next week if the church is closed for the typhoon, before and after all Masses. Tickets are HK$ 420 for adults, HK$ 320 for the elderly and HL$ 200 for youth.
4. The new adult-formation class for all parishioners fluent in English will be held on the last Wednesday of each month, beginning September 26^th. No registration is required, and the open class will be held in the parish hall from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The themes for the year will be a Call to Conversion in the steps of St. Paul, covering various topics on theology and morals. The only book necessary will be a copy of the Bible in English.
5. CARITAS Hong Kong is beginning to solicit donations both from corporate sponsors as well as from individuals for gifts both new or used (but in good condition) for the up-coming CARITAS Bazaar that will take place on 4 November 2018. Those who have items or gifts that they wish to donate for this worthy cause can leave them at the Reception Desk of the parish.
